Above that height their poor chins smack the ground too hard and they commonly break their jaws (but fortunatley this is not a difficult injury to fix!) When he...I had a black cat and his name was Sootie. When he was a kitten, he was left behind for 3 days with no food (not intentional). He was fine when I got home. Then, he was caught in a garage door. Once again, fine. He fell from a third floor balcony (this cat was amazing) and broke the base of his tail. From then on, his tail went crooked when he lifted it. Sootie lived through the adoration of THREE TODDLERS!! He was the most gorgeous cat, and he lived to be 14 yo.
