Fall into Romance - blog hop

Who are your Auto-buy Authors?

Today I’m delighted to take part in The Romance Reviews blog hop. As part of the hop I’m supposed to post about my favourite romance book – but after writing a shortlist the length of an A4 paper I threw up my hands in frustration. My problem lies in loving most of the books written by my favourite authors –  How to choose between them?

I might, just might, be able to choose a favourite series – but even that is a tough call. It would be between Tessa Dare’s, ‘Spindle Cove’, and Elizabeth Hoyt’s ‘Maiden Lane’ series. Both authors provide in spadefuls what I look for in a first class read: the escapism of the past, heroes with hidden secrets and wilful, but honourable heroines battling their attraction to an unsuitable lover.
 

You’ve probably guessed by now that I’m a fan of historical romance. Other authors who I can usually rely on to feed my addiction are Lisa Kleypas (especially her yummy ‘Bow Street’ books), Mary Balogh and Katharine Ashe. Most of these authors are on my ‘auto-buy’ list, but I’m always on the look out for new recommendations – this leads me to ask, who are your auto-buy authors?

    I am a fan of Elizabeth Hoyt and Mary Balogh, I tend to try and buy their books first.

      I cut my teeth on Mary Balogh - I've read her earlier books but not her more recent ones...must catch up.

    Two authors at the top of my auto buy list are: Shiloh Walker & Charlotte Boyette-Compo. They have never disappointed me.

    I choose, Verity's Lie (it's the only one I don't already have on my kindle)

    Unfortunately, there are so many authors that I adore that I tend to have an 'auto-read' list that I haunt the library or review site in search of. I do frequently purchase Stephanie Laurens and Eileen Wilkes titles but there are so many others that I tend to hop around, depending on what I am unable to obtain through other means. Thanks for the giveaway...I am not quite sure which of your lovely titles I would request if I won...I will have to ponder longer.

    Auto-buys for me include Grace Burrowes, Jeaniene Frost, Ilona Andrews, Patricia Briggs, Kresley Cole, Ilona Andrews, Larissa Ione, Diane Duvall, Kerrelyn Sparks and Elizabeth Hoyt. I'd love to win Verity's Lie.

    Most of my auto buy authors are in UF with a few that could be considered PNR. Lilith Saintcrow, Eileen Wilks, Keri Arthur, Patricia Briggs, Marjorie M. Liu.........yea I could keep going >.<

    Like you my Auto buy list is long. I like the PNR/Sci fi books with hot sexy alpha heroes and kick-ass heroines. I usually have them on pre-order as soon as I see a new one is coming out from any of the following: Shelly Laurenston, Jet Mykles, G. A. Aiken, Lauren Dane, Laurann Dohner, Eve Langlais, Lora Leigh, Vivian Arend, Bianca D’Arc, Christine Warren, Monette Michaels, and S. E. Smith; just to name a few.
